International technology concern NDS has announced the opening of a German branch in Munich.
In addition to providing customer services, the office will also
accommodate an in-house research and development team specialising in
the requirements of the German pay-TV market, the newly founded company
NDS GmbH announced. The new office will serve as the central hub for
NDS’s German customers. With pay-TV operator Premiere, cable companies
Kabel BW and Tele Columbus and IPTV providers Arcor and Telekom
Austria, NDS currently has five customers in German-speaking Europe
utilising NDS’s encryption system VideoGuard or its middleware
MediaHighway.

providers and platform operators in this important market. The opening
of our German office in Unterföhring, near Munich, will allow us to
enhance our reach and local support capabilities to best serve our
existing and future customers,” said Caroline Le Bigot, vice president
and general manager of NDS for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The German office will be headed by Yves Padrines, vice president
business development at NDS, who will also act as general manager of
NDS GmbH.
