boxx-tv.jpgGerman media company BOXX-TV has announced the first television offers which will form part of the IPTV platform the company plans to launch in the fourth quarter for in the USA and Canada. 

The platform will comprise German language TV channels and will be aimed at German-speaking households in the region.

Bremen-based parent company MAXX-TV announced that contracts have been signed with Christian family channel Bibel TV, sports service Bundesligen-TV, which until now was only available as a web-TV offer, music channel Volksmusik.tv and television production company Your Family Entertainment (YFE). YFE operates the subscription children’s channel yourfamily, which is available in Germany and Austria via satellite and ADSL.

The BOXX-TV package, which will cost between US$19 and US$25 per month, will be available to viewers with broadband internet as an IPTV offer. Reception will be through an IPTV-compatible set-top-box on a conventional television set.
