30% of French homes fully digital |

Among the half of French households with access to digital TV through at least one set, 29.9% have turned fully digital. This represents 7.6 million out of 25.2 million total households.
At the same time, 14.6 million households (57.8% vs 48% one year ago)
are now equipped with at least one digital access, a 5.2% growth
compared to the end of 2007.
According to this new study from CSA’s Observatory for DTT Reception,
the number of households equipped with a DTT adaptor has risen by 15.6
percentage points to reach 31.7%, while satellite subscriptions
represent 14.6%, ADSL 13.2% and digital cable 6%.
At the end of March, DTT transmissions covered an average 83.3% of the population vs 71.4% last September 2007.
And while 29.1% of French households are still receiving analogue terrestrial TV, their proportion decreased 13.6% in one year.
France’s digital switch over is set for November 2011.
