Chris Forrester
London-based Chris Forrester is a well-known technology journalist. He reports on all aspects of the TV industry with special emphasis on content, the business of television and emerging technologies. This very much includes interactive multi-media and the growing importance of web-streamed and digitised content over all delivery platforms including cable, satellite and digital terrestrial TV as well as cellular and 3G mobile. Indeed, he has been investigating, researching and reporting on the so-called ‘broadband explosion' for some 20 years.  Rose Major Rose started her career in 1997, working as a researcher on the Financial Times' New Media Markets and TV Sports Markets, before joining Baskerville Communications as a research analyst, writing and editing management reports. She then moved sideways to become the reporter on Baskerville's TV International and TV International Daily. Following Informa's purchase of both Baskerville and New Media Markets, Rose became deputy editor of New Media Markets, before taking the editorship a year later. Two years later, a move to Australia followed, from where Rose wrote a research report on DTT, contributed to the DTG's Digital News magazine, as well as filing for Advanced TV as Australian correspondent. Rose joined Rapid TV News at launch in January 2007.  Jörn Krieger Jörn Krieger is based in Bavaria, Germany, and has specialised in media journalism since 1990. He has contributed to a wide range of German and English-language trade publications, including Inside Satellite TV, New Television Insider, Interspace, Cable Europe, Cable & Satellite and Digital News, in addition to providing consultancy and analysis. His emphasis is on satellite television, cable networks, digital television, pay-TV and emerging markets such as IPTV, mobile media and direct to mobile broadcasting via satellite. In 2002, Jörn completed his doctorate thesis in communication studies and in the same year also published a handbook detailing the advantages of direct-to-home satellite broadcasting. In 2004, Jörn founded Medienbote, a daily, German-language media industry newsletter offering a comprehensive overview of developments relevant to his domestic market. He has interviewed key media personalities including Ferdinand Kayser (SES Astra), Jürgen Doetz (VPRT), Herbert Kloiber (TMG), Philippe Cayla (EuroNews), Peter Mercier MobiTV) and Glenn Oakley (Rainbow Media). Jörn's particular fields of interest are the changes taking place in the media industry through the growing importance of IP-based networks as television carriage platforms and the accompanying new means of individualised media consumption.  Kevin Hilton Kevin trained as a journalist and worked in radio for a number of years, variously as a reporter, technician, producer and presenter. He moved into magazines, writing about radio and all things audio, branching out into television and multimedia. Kevin has a deep interest in film, both the technology and the art itself and has written reviews and interviews with directors and actors. Currently living on the south coast of England he maintains a healthily cynical attitude to technology and continues to cherish books and manual typewriters.  Piero Muscarà Piero Muscarà, graduated in Law at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" is a consultant and journalist in the fields of media and technology. President and CEO of Rome based NEXTA Media, a company that operates as publisher and content provider on the Internet in Italy. Mr.Muscara is media correspondent for the Italian daily business newspaper "Il Sole 24 Ore" since 1992. As freelance he contributed to several newspapers and magazines including "Italia Oggi", "L'Espresso" and for "TBI" and "Cable & Satellite Europe". Piero is a member of the Board of Directors of the NGO "Hands Off Cain". Piero Muscarà lives in Rome, Italy.  Iñaki Ferreras Iñaki Ferreras has been working as a media journalist for some 12 years specialising in multichannel TV, and in the field of satellite and cable TV, and more recently digital terrestrial television. Before this he worked for the highly-regarded Spanish TV news agency, Europa Press TV. In 1996, he joined the European editorial group Télé Satellite Publications, leader of the European Digital TV and new technologies publications, where he is now Journalist in Chief. He was the Spanish correspondent for the 'Cable Europe' and 'Interspace' newsletters for 4 years. He is also a frequent constributor to the well know Spanish national weekly magazines 'Tiempo' and 'Intervíu', where he writes about social affairs and technology. Ferreras is also a frequent broadcaster on technology matters. He has reported on digital TV for the Spanish national network Onda Cero, and as a specialist he takes part regularly in conferences about the market for Digital TV in the Iberian peninsula.  Pascale Paoli-Lebailly Pascale Paoli-Lebailly (38) graduated in English at the Sorbonne and in journalism at the Paris-based school IPJ. She started work in 1993 as a media journalist for specialist newsletter La Lettre de l'Audiovisuel et des Média, where she specialized in the production and broadcasting sectors. Since 1997 she has freelanced for international titles such as Variety, Kidscreen, Channel 21 and TV Europe, and more recently for TBI. In France, she's contributing to French trade titles CB News (Communication & Business weekly), the daily newsletter Satellifax and its bi-weekly magazine Satellimag, as well as consumer newsmagazines. In the media and TV sectors, she has worked for TéléObs, L'Express, Téléloisirs, Le Nouvel Economiste.
